Good news about Android 14 beta from Xiaomi

The next manufacturer to take its Android 14 testing program to a new level, this time it’s Xiaomi.

Xiaomi seems to be expanding its testing program for the new Android 14 beta. Nowadays it can be reported that there is now a global beta for several (expensive) Xiaomi smartphones. The rollout probably started in the last few hours, as did our colleagues xiaomiui can report

The new update updates the internal MIUI build of the devices and provides MIUI-V14.0.2.0.UMCMIXM for Xiaomi 13, MIUI-V14.0.2.0.UMBMIXM and MIUI-V14.0.4.0.ULQMIXM for Xiaomi 13 Pro. 12T. Select users enrolled in the testing program can download this update immediately via OTA.

In this case there is always talk about a “stable beta”, so the development should be in its final stage.

Google is probably planning to release Android 14 in the first week of October. No other manufacturer is expected to roll out a final Android 14 update to their own devices beforehand. Maybe this year Xiaomi will be one of the brands that will update at least some of their devices very quickly.
