Pro Mode for the Pixel 8 Pro may also work on other models – and is already exciting today.
Google is including a Pro mode in its own Google Camera app for the first time. Unfortunately, this mode will only be available exclusively on the Pixel 8 Pro. It was immediately clear to us that this was just an artificial ban. It is now one of the most famous developers and has been confirmed by Google Leaker.
The camera app for the Pixel 8 smartphone has got hold of “Camila”. He was able to edit the app a bit and run it on the Pixel 7 Pro. Of course, Pro mode works without limitations and is “very good”.
Our colleague praised the Pro mode, which gives the user a lot of control over the Pixel camera. This includes, for example, manually switching to the telephoto camera, which the app usually decides automatically. In normal automatic mode, the change only occurs when the objects are really far enough away.
“It’s a real shame that Google is limiting the feature to the 8 Pro”
I also agree with Kamila that artificially limiting the app to one device is not a great idea. From their perspective, there’s certainly no reason not to release a Pro mode for other Pixel models. Perhaps Google will reconsider this decision and release Pro Mode with future Pixel feature drops.
