The cat’s out of the bag: Google officially launched the Google Pixel 8, 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2 this afternoon. Pre-orders are now available at stores like Amazon, Media Markt and Co. We’ll show you where the new Google devices can be pre-ordered.
As part of its “Made by Google” keynote, Google today introduced the Pixel 8 series and the Pixel Watch 2. There have already been several leaks about various devices, and there have also been official leaks and sneak peeks. The Pixel Watch 2 and the two new smartphones are now available for pre-order in stores.

Compared to their predecessors, both the Pixel 8 smartphones have become significantly more expensive. The regular Pixel 8 comes as a 128 GB version For 799 euros (pre-order here) over the counter, which corresponds to a price increase of 150 euros. Pixel 8 Pro is getting more expensive: manufacturers are charging for the new flagship 1,099 euros (pre-order here) And so 200 euros more than the Pixel 7 Pro. Anyone who pre-orders the Pixel 8 Pro by October 16th will get one Pixel Watch 2 (pre-order here) Price 399 euros for free. The Pixel 8 again has a pair of Google Pixel Buds Pro “on top”.
Both the smartphones have a new one Google Tensor G3 chip, which is supported by a Titan M2 security co-processor. The normal model is aimed at people who are looking for a more compact smartphone. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro will reportedly compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (reviewed) and the iPhone 15. Accordingly, a powerful triple camera setup with 50 MP main, 48 ultra-wide and 48 MP telephoto cameras is used here. The hardware package is rounded off by a committed update commitment, according to which there will be security updates for seven years.
