Helldivers 2 patches are arriving in large numbers, this time with fixes to performance issues caused by previous patches.
After release this week Patch 01.000.300, which changed weapons, tactics, and a long list of enemies, some Helldivers 2 players experienced performance issues. Arrowhead later confirmed that there was indeed a problem and has now released a new patch to fix the problem.
Patch 1,000,301, released today, May 2, is much smaller than the update released earlier this week, but more importantly, it delivers promised performance improvements and fixes several bugs.
Arrowhead has also updated its helpful known issues list to give players an idea of what the studio is working on. A note: “Helldiver will not be able to crouch when surrounded by enemies.” And here I thought it was a feature and not a bug!
Yesterday, IGN reported on Arrowhead’s plans to optimize Eruptor after a community investigation uncovered a bounce and fragment issue caused by this week’s patch. This fix doesn’t seem to have been implemented yet.
