Henry Cavill’s return as Superman is something that has been anticipated for years. Its re-recording does not count Zack Snyder’s Justice LeagueThe last time we saw the actor wearing the blue cape was in 2017. However, with a series of changes on the horizon for DC Films, The British actor has finally spoken of reprising the role.
In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Cavill talks about his career, The Witcher, Enola Holmes and his return as Superman. At this point, he commented:
“He has such a bright future ahead of him for the character, and I’m so excited to tell a story with the very talented Superman.”
The important thing here is “cheerful”.. While there were fans of Zack Snyder’s performance, many others complained about this version of the character. However, with his appearance in Black Adam and this interview, it’s been made clear that we’ll be seeing a hero more connected to what we’ve seen in the comics, where he’s a symbol of hope.
On a related note, Henry Cavill must look like a bizarro. Likewise, you can learn more about Superman’s return to the DCEU here.
Editor’s note:
Nothing official at this point though, but I’d love to All-Star Superman The character was the basis for subsequent films. More than the action, we should focus on showing what makes this hero special and the hope he instills in the audience.
