I think that some dealers want to finally clear their warehouses next week. Then the Pixel 6 series should be available very cheaply again. The only question is whether the purchase is worth it if the heir is now available?
The Pixel 6 series is quite powerful in the future
I would say that the Pixel 6 series can definitely offer powerful devices in 2022 and 2023. You really can’t go wrong with it. Other devices are better suited only for hardcore gamers.
The Pixel 6 series can expect up to eight major updates
And you don’t have to worry about updates. Until the so-called EOL for operating system updates, the Pixel 6 will still receive Android 14 and Android 15, as well as at least six other Pixel feature drops.
For the first time on Google cell phones: There are two more years of security updates
The update guarantee should expire in October 2024. Monthly security patches, possibly including integrated bug fixes, are even guaranteed until October 2026 for the Pixel 6 series. It’s new from the Pixel 6 series and that’s a good thing.
Maybe new offer for Christmas business
With the introduction of the Pixel 7 series, the predecessors didn’t directly become cheaper. But I expect some good offers for the Christmas business starting in October. If you are interested, you will have to be patient now.
If prices are to hold in the coming weeks and months, the regular Pixel 6 should come in much closer to the 400 euro mark and the Pixel 6 Pro should drop below the 700 euro mark.
