When used for still photography, the ½ ”sensor records 48MP images. The 4K Boost lens utilizes FlowState Image Stabilization that is applied in real-time so you don’t need to do anything in post.

Backward Compatible
The updated ONE RS Core is backward compatible with the existing 5.7K 360-degree lens. With 360-degree captured footage you can reframe your shots in post as well as zoom in to show details most wide-angle lenses would miss.
If you are after the highest possible quality that the ONE RS is capable of then you can use the previously released 1-inch wide-angle lens that was co-designed with Leica. This allows you to capture 5.3K material. Insta360 says that compatible lenses will become available in the future. Just what these lenses will be remains unclear.
According to Insta360, the core of the ONE RS has an enhanced processor to power the camera’s complex features such as FlowState Stabilization. The increased computing power enables mid-clip digital zooms to save time in post-production. A Quick Menu lets you switch between modes such as TimeShift, HDR, or Standard presets.
Audio
The ONE RS Core has three microphones and Insta360 is claiming that a Wind Noise Reduction algorithm can help to minimize wind and other noises. An updated mounting bracket also includes a windproof cover to help block unwanted noise.
Made For Action Sports
The ONE RS can be used at depths of up to 16 ′ / 4.87m. The various lens and battery mods have been built to withstand harsh landings and impacts. The updated mounting bracket is claimed to have been optimized for heat dissipation.
Battery
The ONE RS is slightly larger than the ONE and it is using a larger capacity 1445mAh battery. This ONE RS battery is compatible with the previously released ONE R Core
Transferring Material
The new processor in the ONE RS is claimed to be able to increase the Wi-Fi transfer speeds by 67%. There is also an optional Quick Reader that you can attach directly to the ONE RS and offload material. You can then plug the Quick Reader directly into your phone.
