During Nintendo’s recent live show, the incredibly promising The Hundred Lines – Last Defense Academy – was revealed by developer Two Kyo Games and publisher Aniplex.
Born through collaboration between Dangan ronpa Series author Kazutaka Kodaka and zero escape Game developer Kotaro Uchikoshi, the game is scheduled for release in 2025, but according to an interview… Famitsu (thanks, the robot), the project seems to have encountered some problems, leaving Too Kyoo Game in debt.
The project appears to have begun development shortly after Too Kyoo Games was founded in 2017, but the game underwent extensive changes after the publishing deal fell through. What originally started as an “independent” project now requires significantly more investment.
Therefore, before the merger with Aniplex, Too Kyoo Games took out a loan to help develop the game, and since Too Kyoo members were unable to raise the necessary capital through stock sales, the studio fell into debt. Thankfully, Aniplex was still willing to work with the team, even though Too Kyoo Games is still in debt.
Then it’s a good thing it looks so good. Combining strategic RPG elements with the classic visual novel interaction of the Danganronpa series, we can’t wait to learn more as it approaches its release in 2025.
Let’s remember the hypothesis:
