Harebrained Schemes, creator of the Shadowrun trilogy and BATTLETECH, brings the Lamplighters League to life as an original pulp adventure set in an alternate version of the 1930s. Players assemble their teams from diverse groups of misfits, from bank robbers to gunmen to mind-controlling assassins, to foil the Exile Court’s plans for world domination. You take part in risky missions and deploy four agents to unlock rewards and advance the plot. Within missions, agents can go on raids to gather intelligence, find new allies, and uncover clues about campaign-critical operations, each affecting the players’ strategy in each scenario.
The Exile Court has more resources, personnel, and weapons than players’ groups of criminals and misfits. The difficulty dynamically adapts to players’ actions by adding more enemies to challenge brave agents and increasing the health of fighters. The immersive soundtrack of The Lamplighters League, composed by award-winning John Everist, enhances the retro atmosphere, responds to the gameplay and heightens the thrill of each mission. Players with the best strategies receive valuable rewards that expand their strategic options and ultimately influence the fate of their agents.
