Laowa has announced a new silver version Nanomorph 1.5x anamorphic lens series. This is not a silver colored lens, but a version that renders a neutral-colored flare.
Compared to the more common Blue Flare, the Silver version provides more control over the Flare color. The silver version changes the color of the flare according to the light source. The spread is more subtle and less confusing.
When you order Nanomorph 1.5x anamorphic lenses you can choose between Amber, Blue or Silver. I’m not sure why they didn’t create a neutral version at first, but I’m sure this new ‘Silver’ version is a direct result of potential buyers asking for one.
Similar to the Amber and Blue versions, the Silver version is available in 3 different focal lengths, 27mm T2.8, 35mm T2.4, and 50mm T2.4. All lenses are available on Canon EF, PL Mount, Canon R, Sony E, M43, DJI DL, Nikon Z, L mount, and Fuji X. The mounts are also interchangeable.

The typical retail price for a single lens is $ 999 USD (mirrorless mount) and $ 1,499 USD (EF and PL mount). A 3-lens bundle with a protective case will retail for $ 2,699 USD (mirrorless mount) and $ 3,999 USD (EF and PL mount). The lenses are expected to be shipped after August.
