Venus Optics has announced the Argus 25mm f / 0.95 MFT APO. This is a new, ultra-fast lens designed for M4 / 3 mount cameras such as the new Panasonic GH6.

The optical construction of the Laowa Argus 25mm f / 0.95 MFT APO consists of 14 elements in 8 groups with 1 aspherical lens, 1 piece of ED glass, and 3 pieces of UHR glass. The Extra-low Dispersion Glass, Aspherical Lens and Ultra High Refraction Glass are claimed to not only offer sharp and crispy images but also minimize chromatic aberration.
The Laowa 25mm f / 0.95 MFT APO features an internal focus design which is claimed to result in low focus breathing. The lens also has a very long 300 ° focus throw
The lens is made out of metal and it accepts 62mm threaded filters. The aperture ring and focus ring have deep grooves for better handling. The 25mm f / 0.95 MFT APO weighs 570g / 1.25 lb.
