Work is underway under the hood AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, which is a six-core, 12-thread processor. The base CPU clock can be clocked at 2.1 GHz and max at 4 GHz. The processor is based on AMD’s Zen 3 architecture, which is also used in the Ryzen 5000 desktop model for Socket AM4.
