Microsoft is finally giving Teams users an easy way to control audio and video during meetings. The software giant The test has started Easily accessible tools to change camera, audio source, speaker output and more. These new features are part of an update available today for public preview from Microsoft Teams.
In the current version of Tim, you have to go through multiple layers of settings to change the camera you’re using, adjust the background, or switch from a built-in speaker to a wired one. The new features allow Teams users to access a down arrow next to the camera or microphone button on the meeting toolbar, which includes simplified audio and video options.
If you want to switch from your laptop’s built-in camera to a wired webcam, you can do so very quickly from this new menu or change the microphone or headset/speakers you’re using. There are also options to enable noise reduction, spatial audio and virtual background These settings are usually found in the sidebar, which you can access by searching for the Settings menu
Windows and macOS users can check out these new changes today as part of the new Teams client and public preview program. These features should roll out to all Teams users in the coming months.
