Nanlite has unveiled the PavoTube T8-7X, a 1m / 3.3 ′ long LED pixel tube. LED tube lights have become increasingly popular over the last few years and the market is now saturated with different options.
The PavoTube T8-7X is being touted as an affordable LED tube light for content creators and YouTubers.
The PavoTube T8-7X is Kelvin color temperature adjustable from 2700K to 7500K. It also has full +/- G / M adjustment.
The light can produce up to 36,000 colors and its pixel effects can be used to generate a range of different moving colors.
option
There is built-in Bluetooth control so you can control the fixture via the NANLINK mobile app. The app lets you customize and save effects so you can recall them easily when needed.
The light tips the scales at just 280g / 9.88 oz.
The PavoTube T8-7X is powered via a built-in battery that can supply power for on-location shooting.
A standard USB-C port allows you to connect the Nanlite WC-USBC-C1 Wire Controller, which provides external battery power and additional controls.
You can also power the light via a USB power bank.
You can also control the light via DMX using a set of cables. This is a USB-C to breakout cable adapter. This doesn’t look like the best idea to me. USB-C is a consumer adapter and not overly strong. Any type of cable such as this is likely to pull and put a lot of strain on the connector.
The user interface of the light allows you to adjust dimming, CCT and HUE.
Price & Availability
The Nanlite PavoTube T8-7X is now available for US 95 USD. A four light kit is also available for 389 USD.
