Samsung wants to better protect the battery of its Android phones and is introducing new functions in 2024.
Samsung is planning some new functions for its Android smartphones, the new OneUI 6.1 will be launched in January 2024 and then the next wave of updates will roll out to the Android Galaxy. Innovations include better battery management to maximize long-term protection.
The new function is now showing up early, but can’t be used yet. Samsung will indeed only provide OneUI 6.1. There will be three different modes to better protect the battery while charging:
- Standard (Basic Protection): Battery charged up to 100% and permanently kept above 95% until the phone is unplugged. This ensures that the battery is at least 95% charged.
- Adaptive: The battery initially charges up to 80% and only charges to 100% shortly before the planned wake-up time. This is moderate battery protection for those who charge their phones overnight.
- Max: The battery charges up to 80% maximum, then stops charging until the battery drops below 80% again. This is the best battery protection as the device never charges above 80%.
Samsung will likely make this innovation generally available to all devices equipped with OneUI 6.1 through an update. Also applies to cheap Android phones from manufacturers and tablets.
Unlock “One UI 6.1 Battery Protection” feature in One UI 6 but unfortunately it’s not working because the feature is half baked 😬
Steps:
• Download Activity Launcher
• Search for “batterypro”.
• Open the activity and activate itPlease post again🫠#OneUI6 #GalaxyS23 #GalaxyS23Ultra #OneUI6dot1 pic.twitter.com/7eCukJ5BQE
