In the large-scale AAA development environment, Media Molecule is one of the few PlayStation studios that doesn’t seem to be heading in this direction. It was the team’s last task the dream, a series of tools to enable users to create their own games. If you don’t like this idea, You’ll be happy to know that Media Molecule’s next project will be a more traditional game.
In an interview with Ben Hanson, Media Molecule co-founder Mark Healy noted that the British studio’s next game would be a more traditional experience, Rather than a series of development tools for users, and not only that, as he mentioned that this project is a completely new property. Here’s what he said about it:
“I don’t know where their project is now, I don’t think it’s a secret that they’re working on a new IP, for example.
I dare say it’s more of a game than a creative tool, from what I understand.
“Sony still has a lot of faith in Media Molecule, at least they’ll be able to make this game.”
now, Many users are concerned about research. In September of last year, Media Molecule stopped supporting Dreams and shortly after it was revealed that between 15% and 20% of the team had been laid off. It was during this period that Haley left the studio.
Although there is no more official information at the moment, Everything seems to indicate that the next Media Molecule project is already on the way. On a related note, you can learn more about studio layoffs here. Likewise, this is all we know about the studio’s next game.
Author’s Note:
Media Molecule is a studio with tons of talent, but it’s on ice. The team is not aligned with the vision that PlayStation has at the moment. The company’s future depends entirely on how successful its next project is.
