Up-and-coming British manufacturer Nothing is apparently working on a new model for this summer. According to a report of Android Title A device with the code name “Tetris” and model number “A015” was spotted in a database. It makes sense to assume that it could be the Nothing Phone (3).
Although no specific technical information is available yet, there are hints of possible features of the new smartphone. The potential Nothing Phone (3) is said to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, a variant of the flagship chip that has been specially optimized for the mid-range. It should provide a good balance between performance and energy efficiency.
Another focus may be on the camera. They say “with innovative functions” nothing here wants to score points. It is probably urgently needed for the third generation. Although the dual setup of 50 MP sensors for the main camera and ultra wide angle still looks pretty good, nothing has changed the recipe from the first version.
The phone (3) should offer improvements over its predecessor in terms of battery technology and fast charging functions, though it could build on an already very good foundation. The Nothing Phone (2) (in test report) already had a generous 4,700 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging.
So far, nothing has positioned itself primarily in the middle class and focused on a good price-performance ratio. The company will likely continue on this path with the Phone 3. A presentation of the new model is likely for July, as its predecessors also hit the market in the summer.
