Render images for the OnePlus 12 surfaced recently, and now offer the same leaked specifications. The OnePlus 12 gets a bigger battery with wireless charging, a periscope telephoto camera and more.
The OnePlus 11 (test) has only been available for a few months, but now the technical details and design of the successor are already known. Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka onlicks The render images that were shared on the Smartprix website a few days ago, and the specifications of the OnePlus 12 are now out there as well. The screen specs are the same as the OnePlus 11, but the manufacturer now places the front-facing camera centered at the top of the screen instead of the top-left corner. It’s no surprise that it’s going for a new Qualcomm chip in the form of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. What improvements it will offer remains to be seen until the chip presentation in October.
Big battery and wireless charging
The OnePlus 12 has two improvements to its battery. Power should be increased slightly, 5,000 to 5,400 milliampere hours. Also, apart from 100-watt fast charging Wireless charging up to 50 watts Supporting OnePlus has removed wireless charging from previous models.
The main and front cameras have the same resolution of 50 and 32 megapixels respectively, but new sensors can be used. Regardless, the telephoto camera will be upgraded, as instead of a 32-megapixel sensor with double zoom, a 64 megapixel sensor with triple zoom. The ultra-wide-angle camera also gets a slight resolution upgrade from 48 to 50 megapixels, but ultimately it’s the size of the sensor that counts, which is currently unknown.
OnePlus 12 will still take a few months to arrive. The China launch is expected in December. In Europe, it probably won’t start until early 2024. Furthermore, it is not officially allowed to be sold in Germany, although it is currently sold in neighboring countries
