Smartphone cameras have sometimes suffered from amusing excesses. Nokia was ahead of its time and had huge 40MP cameras on devices a few years ago, but no one bought them. Nokia’s camera sensor count was also record-breaking. But others, like Oppo, have had success with it.
The Chinese manufacturer has a really big thing planned for this year. Leaks from the past few days have now been confirmed by new images. An upcoming Oppo flagship relies on the octagon style, with five camera sensors. One in the middle and four around. The whole camera setup is huge.

How big do you want the camera to be?

As already mentioned in another post, the design is not necessarily new, but it is very interesting, if only because of the now brutally wide camera. What does not change, however, is the patent dispute with the aforementioned Nokia. Oppo devices still need to be imported into Germany
