Peripherals will follow next year
With “Evnia”, Philips presented a new gaming brand at the Paris Stade de France, primarily intended to appeal to the general public. The first products in the series are some high-resolution monitors. OLED models can also be found here.
In January next year Phillips Release several gaming monitors under a new banner. the “Evnia”-Siri Recently announced and includes, among other things, two monitors with OLED displays. A total of four models have been introduced so far. According to Philips, the brand targets an older and therefore wider target group. Accordingly the design is based on a rather simple look, through which the usual gaming elements are delivered.
The first monitor is Evnia 34M2C7600MV. The cryptic name hides a 34-inch WQHD monitor in 21:9 format with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. Unlike other products, a VA panel with 1,152 mini-LED local dimming zones is used.
Both are very interesting OLED monitors 42M2N8900 and 34M2C8600. The latter is a 34-inch curved ultrawide model with a QHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels). The display is HDR TrueBlack 400 certified and offers a refresh rate of 175 Hz. For the 42-inch model, the manufacturer uses a flat 4K display with a 138 Hz refresh rate. The monitors are priced at 1,849 euros (34M2C8600) and 1,959 euros (42M2N8900).
Over the next year, the Evnia series continues More products Expanding so sometimes two keyboards, two mice, two headsets and a mouse pad should appear. The brand also has a specially developed app with which individual devices can be synchronized with each other.
