The classic dual-SIM variant requires two SIM slots for the original SIM card, but Google has always done without them. Its modern version will soon be available from the Pixel 7 series, allowing the user to use two virtual SIMs on his smartphone at the same time.
It has been known for some time that this feature is in the works and could be released via an update in March 2023. The corresponding firmware (Android 13 QPR2) is now launched in a new and first beta version.
It’s possible that dual eSIM will already work with it. Unfortunately, there is already some bad news from the community. First attempt to activate two eSIM profiles, failed. So we have to wait a little longer.
