Google is bringing another function to the camera app on current Pixel models.
Apparently the Pixel camera update for older Pixel smartphones was no coincidence, as the current Pixel 8 smartphones also now receive an app update. In this case, however, it comes directly with a new function that is likely to be available on both Pixel 8 smartphones.
New is now Night Sight Time Lapse, which gives you night vision for slow motion. Of course, Google recommends a tripod or other solution for these videos so that the smartphone is completely still.
With Full HD 10 seconds of slow motion takes 5 minutes of recording, with 4K it takes 20 minutes for 10 seconds.
Capture vivid and detailed time-lapse videos when it’s dark. Available in auto speed option only.
Google also owes us functions including Video Boost. All will probably come to the Pixel 8 model next week.
What’s new with this update is a separate setting for Ultra HDR, and you can now configure timers for hand gestures, say colleagues. Google_nws.
New Pixel Camera update v.9.2 adds Night Sight Time Lapse for Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.
Time lapse mode will now have a separate setting that allows you to record longer night sight time lapse videos.
