- Sony and specific retailers have confirmed that PlayStation 5 pre-orders will start again tomorrow.
- Unfortunately, there are no details on exactly when pre-orders will begin.
- You might have better luck making an in-person pre-order in the US.
It was inevitable that the initial launch of the next-gen gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft would be chaotic. However, the initial launch of Sony PlayStation 5 pre-orders was a total disaster, with pretty much everything going wrong. This resulted in many buyers coming up empty.

Luckily, it looks like we’ll get a second shot at buying the PS5 tomorrow, September 25. Sony itself said that more pre-orders would be available this week, and US retailer Game Stop has confirmed it will have more in stock tomorrow. Several other retailers have confirmed the same, which leads us to believe most retailers will be on board.
PlayStation 5 pre-orders: Another fiasco in the works?
Game Stop, Amazon UK, and UK retailer Game have all confirmed that there will be more PS5 consoles in stock tomorrow. However, none of the businesses have given any kind of clarity on when, exactly, the stock will be available.
As such, we can’t say when you should be at the ready to add a PlayStation 5 pre-order to your cart. If you really want one, you might need to set down at your computer at 12:01 AM tomorrow and not move until you get one.
Interestingly, Game Stop says it will also have pre-orders available in its retail stores. As such, you might have a better chance of nabbing a console if you go to a physical location right when it opens its doors. It’s likely stores will only have a limited quantity allocated, so you’ll need to get there early to beat out the crowds.
There’s still time today for Sony or other retailers to announce a specific time when pre-orders will begin. We’ll update this article if that happens.
