- A Chinese Weibo user named Kang shared pricing and availability information related to Apple’s entire iPhone 12 lineup.
- All four models this year will feature OLED displays and 5G connectivity.
- They’ll also include a feature to intelligently switch between LTE and 5G as a way to save battery life.
With less than a week before Apple’s next event, extensive details on the company’s entire iPhone 12 lineup have leaked thanks to a Chinese Weibo user named Kang. That information was subsequently shared by frequent Samsung leaker Ice Universe (via MacRumors). Keep in mind we’re working from a machine translation here so some details may have gotten lost in the mix. Kang also mentions their information may not be accurate.
According to Kang, all four phones will feature OLED displays, with what seems like a new ceramic-reinforced glass layer for additional protection. As expected, the entire lineup will include 5G connectivity. However, only US variants of the new iPhone will include mmWave connectivity. We’ll have to see how that affects pricing stateside, but it could make the new iPhone, like the Pixel 5, more expensive in the US. Additionally, Kang says the phone will include a Smart Data Mode that will intelligently switch the phones from a 5G to 4G connection to save on battery life.
As for the specific phones themselves, at the bottom of the lineup is the new 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini. It will feature a dual camera system with an f/1.6 lens affixed to its primary sensor. Kang says Apple will offer the phone in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage configurations. Consumers will also have the option of buying the iPhone 12 Mini in black, white, red, blue, or green. Pre-orders for the phone will open sometime around October 16, with general availability starting on October 23 or October 24.

Next up is the 6.1-inch iPhone 12. It will reportedly start at $799. Kang says Apple plans to offer the phone in the same storage and color options as the iPhone 12 Mini. It will also include the same camera system as the Mini, with the same timeline for availability.
Coming in at the same size as the iPhone 12 is the iPhone 12 Pro. It will reportedly feature a triple camera system that includes a LiDAR sensor, a 52mm-equivalent telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom and a wide-angle lens. Pro variants of the iPhone 12 will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage configuration. Apple will reportedly open pre-orders for the $999 phone on November 6 or November 7 before it becomes officially available in and around November 12.
Everything we just said about the iPhone 12 Pro applies to the IPhone 12 Pro Max, but it will start at $1099 and reportedly include a 47% larger sensor for capturing photos, as well as some additional capabilities for capturing ultra-wide photos.
According to AppleTrack, Kang has a 97.8% accuracy rating when it comes to predicting what Apple is working on. Ice Universe also spoke to Kang’s track record, noting he’s been “very accurate” in the past. “I suggest you take it seriously,” they added.
