It’s not always just the hardware; Better software can speed up many of your Android phone’s predecessors. Samsung is also working on improving the fingerprint sensor with One UI 7.
Insider and tipster “Ice Universe” reports that the latest Samsung software, which is currently in a public beta stage, can significantly increase the speed of unlocking Galaxy cell phones.
In his example he shows how fast the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra unlocks with the latest software. According to a well-known Samsung insider, the speed is now “very high” and faster than the previous software version.
Samsung will release One UI 7 based on Android 15 on the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025 and then bring it as an update to “older” Galaxy phones. However, there is no exact timetable in this regard yet.
