Samsung has released updated firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, adding support for eSIM in the United States.
The firmware enables the phone’s built-in eSIM support for Fold 3 and Flip 3, labeled F926USQU1DVEE and F711USQU2DVEE, respectively. The technology is part of the phone’s circuit board and makes it possible to program the phone remotely instead of relying solely on a traditional SIM card.

Another great advantage of eSIM is the ability to set up a dual-SIM. For example, a user may use eSIM for their standard carrier and pop up on a traditional SIM card for use when traveling internationally or in areas with poor coverage of their normal carrier.
According to XDAIn addition to eSIM support, the update brings a number of Galaxy S22 camera features to foldable devices.
