Samyang Sony has announced a new autofocus 135mm F1.8 telephoto lens designed for the e-mount camera system.
The 135mm F1.8 lens is made up of 13 components in 11 groups, including three extra-low scattering components, two high-refracting components and an aspherical component. The lens has an 11-blade aperture diaphragm, it uses an 82mm front filter thread, and the minimum focusing distance is 69cm (1.3 ‘). In full-frame cameras, the lens offers 18.96 angle view, while in APS-C it offers 12.5º angle view.
Autofocus is powered by Samyang’s linear STM (stepping motor) technology and the lens offers a focus hold button, a customizable button and a focus range limiter (which only works in AF mode). Samiang says the lens is weather-sealed, protecting it from ‘light rain, snow and dust’. For measurement, the lens is 130mm (5.1 “) long, 94mm (3.7”) in diameter and weighs 772g (1.7lbs).
This lens adds another focal length range to Samsung’s growing autofocus prime lineup, which now consists of 24mm, 35mm, 45mm, 75mm and 135mm focal lengths. Below is a sample gallery of images captured with lenses on various Sony camera bodies:
