Stellar Blade has an extensive skill tree with multiple branches that allow you to unlock different abilities and refine Eve’s play style.
However, deciding which skills to unlock and use first can be overwhelming. That’s why we’re here to help you. In this guide we explain the best practices Starblade Open first.
If you’re just starting out, you may notice that some skills are available from the start, while others require intellect points to unlock.
Best skills in Stellar Blade for early game with experimental skills
Skill type | ability | Description of powers |
attack | caught | Execute the enemy from behind. Can be used not only in battle but against enemies. |
attack | Stealing beta energy | A successful ambush or attack charges more beta energy. |
attack | Endless rush | Increases attack range and sprint attack power. More effective than Lightning Rush. |
attack | Rush-Siri | Charges the enemy and performs additional combo attacks. Combo attack ability. |
to survive | Improve focus | Perfect Parry makes it easy to use. |
to survive | Beta Energy Recharge II | Increases the amount of beta energy recharged by a successful perfect parry More effective than beta-1 energy recharge. |
Ambush is an important skill to unlock as it allows you to stealthily kill enemies from behind. Since the enemies are not at gate level, you can use Ambush to take out any enemy, large or small, from behind.
This is an incredibly useful skill throughout the campaign, but especially early on when you don’t have access to many powerful special abilities.
The Beta Power is the first special ability you can access in Stellar Blade. They deal a lot of damage but require beta power to activate.
Since you have to rely on Ambush to sneak up on enemies, Beta Energy Steal is a great skill as it recharges the Beta skill on a successful ambush attack.
Rush is great for closing an enemy’s distance, and you may want to choose Infinite Rush as it increases the distance you travel and the attack power of Rush Hits.
Similarly, we recommend unlocking Rush Chain as it creates a whirlwind of combo attacks that don’t require much input but deal a lot of damage.
Parrying is very important to mastering the Stellar Blade. However, this can take some getting used to, especially in the beginning when you learn to find the balance between combo attacks and dodging enemy attacks.
Therefore, we recommend unlocking the Focus Boost skill as it makes it easier to achieve a perfect save that unbalances the enemy.
Likewise, you may want to unlock Beta Energy Recharge II as it increases the amount of Beta Energy you can recover with perfect parries. Additional information on how to proceed with beta capabilities:

While all four of Beta’s abilities are unique and powerful abilities, we recommend focusing on one of them first and unlocking all of its abilities in its sub-skill tree.
For example, if you decide to unlock a triplet, it’s better to unlock all subsequent skills that improve the triplet’s skill first, rather than unlocking the beta skill second.
These are some of the best Stellar Blade skills to use early in the game.
