The world of video games is currently one of the most expensive hobbies in entertainment, as the consoles that people play on already cost over $300 USD, a luxury that not everyone can afford. Easy But of course, it’s not all cost, given that the software that usually accompanies the devices starts at $60 USD, which for some publishers is a bargain for the world.
A financial call was recently conducted with Strauss Zelnik, CEO of Take Two, which talks about the prices of various video games and a mild comparison to streaming systems that in a certain way take away some of their sales. He was also asked if the $70 USD value for the premiere release seemed fair, and the executive admitted that they as a company would like to change that a bit.

By that standard, our prices are still very, very low, because we offer so many hours of interaction and the value of the interaction is so high, it doesn’t mean the industry has the power to set prices.
It is implied that they want to charge games according to their criteria, that is, it can be higher based on the level of fun or the quality of the product in question, so smaller releases can be around $40 USD and those with the highest budget around $80 USD. However, the Electronic Distribution Act prohibits them from seeking to create a standard on their own.
In fact, one of the games for which they intend to introduce such new prices cannot be higher or lower than the one below Grand Theft AutoWhich will be released sometime in the next financial year Rockstar Games And of which we’ll have our first preview in December.
