All work presents some type of risk that can affect our health. However, very few people can claim that they were attacked by a robot. Well, this was an employee case Tesla, Who suffered a series of injuries caused by an assembly robot two years ago.
A report by The Information surfaced some time ago, where it was announced One in 21 Tesla employees has been involved in an accident in the past year. Additionally, it was revealed that two years ago, a Tesla software engineer in Austin, Texas was seriously injured by a robot designed to remove aluminum car parts. The robot pins down the engineer and sinks its metal claws into his back and arm, leaving the worker bleeding.
Turns out it was an accident, since someone forgot to turn off one of the three robots while on the assembly line. An official incident report revealed that Another worker was forced to press the emergency “stop” button. The engineer suffered a “bruise, cut or open wound” on his left hand, but the injury was apparently not serious enough to require him to miss work.
While it has been noted that several incidents have occurred at Tesla’s factories throughout 2023, It is not known whether similar incidents have happened this year as well. On a related note, Tesla will introduce humanoid robots. Likewise, the company faces a lawsuit for racism.
Editor’s note:
While one might think that the real terror was a machine attacking a man, what was really scary on this occasion was that the employee had to go to work with his injuries and Tesla didn’t let him rest.
