Samsung has yet to ship the Galaxy S23 series with Android 14, initially bringing the smaller update October Patch.
Samsung has been distributing the latest October 2023 update for a few days now, which brings a whole range of security fixes to numerous Galaxy devices. However, the current Galaxy S23 series is yet to be served, which is only changing for us now.
Now the update servers for Europe have also been launched and the Galaxy S23 series will receive the latest update with the October 2023 security patch. This means that there is still no update to Android 14, which may only be delivered by the end of the month.
The next update could bring Android 14 and OneUI 6
Anyone who owns a Galaxy S23 Ultra will likely need to download around 350 MB for the October update. For other models, the firmware is unlikely to be much larger or smaller. There probably won’t be many other innovations, maybe a few bug fixes.
