TL; DR
- Verizon and TCL have released the TCL 30V in the United States.
- This phone promises mmWave connectivity for $ 300.
TCL is slowly making a name for itself in the United States, first offering Alcatel and BlackBerry-branded phones but then offering phones in its own name. The company announced the TCL 30V at the CES as one of its latest phones in the United States, but did not give a price or release details.
Now, there’s Verizon Phone listed On its website (h / t: Zedinet), Confirms that the full retail price of the phone will be $ 300 In addition, the product list reveals that the phone will actually support mmWave, C-Band and Sub-6 GHz 5G standards. In other words, if you want to take advantage of the bright-fast mmWave speed, this is one of the more affordable phones.
Fast 5G, but what else?
The rest of the TCL 30V is quite budget though. It has a Snapdragon 480 5G SoC (the lowest enabled Snapdragon 5G Silicon in the vicinity), 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage and a 6.67-inch FHD + LCD panel running at 60Hz. A 4,500mAh battery keeps things running, though you’ll need to work with ho-hum 18W wired charging.
In the case of photography, the TCL device packs a seemingly budget 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultraviolet sensor, and a 2MP macro lens that everyone is demanding (not really). A 16MP camera handles selfies and video calls.
Other notable features include Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a rear fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm port and Android 11 (not Android 12 here).
There are several phones on the market that can give you more leverage for your money, even in the US. These devices include the OnePlus Nord N10, OnePlus Nord N200, and Motorola One 5G Ace. Still, if you have a cheap mmWave-enabled phone later, it’s worth adding to your list of favorites.
