Actually the showrunner, Steve BlackmanHe had already hinted in an interview that it would end wrapped upHere is his comment:
I think inevitably if we get a season 4 it will go towards the end. I think at a certain point, I’m not sure where we’re going to go next. We have to be careful. My plan for next year is that we won’t be constantly treading the same ground as before. It’s a challenge to think of a new way to subvert this story, and I think we have an idea of how to do that. But I think if we get to season 4, it will be a great ending to the series. I’m not saying I couldn’t do more, but you know, I think it would be very satisfying for the audience, four seasons.
