It’s been a long way, but True Fear: The Abandoned Soul Part 2 Start today! True Fear: The Abandoned Soul Part 1 Appreciated by the critics, broke several records and finally brought us a financial success. We’ve got enough cash to pay back our creditors, our publisher has chosen us and Sequel, Part 2, Already about 50% complete. What could be wrong?
What I saw as a responsibility (or was it arrogance?) To make the sequel “better” was a success. After all, Part 1 was so influential that our publishers had to redesign their page to include a “scary” label for the first time. We wanted to “step forward” the sequel like the original and thought we could do it. Equipped with these impeccable ambitions and newly-discovered cash reserves, I personally set up to read every comment and review on the internet, hoping to “please them all”. Guess how that went?

Some players wanted the game to be brighter, others wanted it to be more scary; Some felt there weren’t enough puzzles, others wanted more cut-scenes, and so on. After a while we lose confidence in our vision. Suddenly I started asking our publisher for advice, trying to adjust the game to their liking. And so we redesigned the game to be an “open world” and “more external” because “players like it”. This may sound strange because our publisher’s statistics fail to predict the success of the original game, but some changes have taken place – eventually we lost something. We have become accustomed to receiving regular pay, but, most importantly, we now have thousands of loyal fans who send us letters of support and love. That was the lost advantage of being an underdog – so far no one was able to send in the perfect solution, which is not strange.

After spending several years burning through most of our reserves, we finally got back to the original design. But as money ran out and fans became increasingly concerned, we had to compromise, try to do something consistent, while trying to salvage much of the wealth we had already created. Although the final result was well received by both fans and critics (92% positive), everyone agreed that it was not a step that could possibly be taken. We had more time, more money, more freedom and we created something that was less than the sum of its parts.

I would like to recall that we have learned from our mistakes and applied our experience in Part 3 which we hope to publish in early 2023. So far it looks like the last entry True fear is the spirit of abandonment The trilogy may be the best, and it will bring the story to a satisfying conclusion, tying together every detail from the first two chapters. As for Part 2, I believe that in the end we played a good game, although it took longer than we should have. If you like Part 1, you will probably enjoy it. As usual, if you have any doubts, a free demo is also available – give it a try!

True Fear Part 2 Picking up at the end of Part 1, Dark Falls joins Holi on the way to the Asylum where Dahlia was last seen. Explore the abandoned shelter in this sequel with even better graphics, lots of new mechanics and double visuals as Part 1. Enjoy a lot of cut-scenes and immerse yourself in the dark and complex story of this dangerous organization because you have created so many clues to recover it. Enjoy the last hour today on Xbox One and Series X | S!
