It’s the first Monday of the new month and some Pixel phone owners are expecting more from the new security patch than patching security holes. We have reported numerous issues faced by many users after Android 13 update. Of course, people are waiting for bug fixes.
But you have to wait at least one more day, because a public holiday in the US is responsible for the delay. As with previous years and years before, the first Monday in September is Labor Day. Just the day Google actually hosts its patch day for Android and Pixel series every month.
It’s just stupid that Google has officially said that they don’t want to release any updates on public holidays. Therefore, the expected September update will be pushed back at least one day to tomorrow, Tuesday (September 6). It should then roll out in the evening for eligible Pixel phones. Unless other issues cause further delay.
We still don’t know exactly what’s in the September update. But this is the first minor update since Android 13 was released in August. Therefore, Android 13 should fix many bugs that can eliminate the errors caused by it.
The number of people complaining about battery issues was significant. In my opinion, this was the biggest known error, although the exact background is difficult to determine. Let’s wait and see if Google can fix the first bug after a month. In any case, it would be welcome.
Is something bugging you that you’re hoping for a quick bug fix for?
