Although it sounds like a joke, it was one of the franchises that started with contemporary superhero movies. X is human, with a series that began in 2000 and spanned 13 films. It has a chronological order despite the time of launch between each production, something that doesn’t affect the story’s compactness that much.
However, if you are yet to appreciate the projects, we have brought you a list in which we have arranged them in a timeline to avoid any further confusion. It’s worth noting that the special effects are going to vary depending on the year they were created.
1. X-Men: First Class (2011)
This film is the beginning of the franchise, where we admire how the most iconic mutants get to know each other, none other than Professor X and Magneto. Thus creating a brotherhood in which they seek to establish equality between humans and animals with special powers, but differences will force some to choose a different path.
It can be seen on Disney Plus.
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
The film’s plot mixes a bit of both worlds, as the pasts of some of the franchise’s most important characters are explored, such as the villain Magneto. At the same time, we are transported to a distant future where humanity will disappear due to mutant wars. The best part is that we have Hugh Jackman as the hero.
It can be seen on Disney Plus.
3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
This story takes place shortly before Wolverine learns about the Mutant Academy, based on the origin of his adamantium claws, as well as a conflict with one of his brothers. Also, they give us the first look at Deadpool, a version that isn’t liked, mainly because he doesn’t say a word on tape.
Available on DisneyPlus.
4. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
The movie cuts us a bit before Wolverine joins the team, putting the original cast on a mission where they must defeat an ancient villain who threatens to destroy the world. In addition, it has a jump in time, since everything begins in 3600 BC, but continues with the era of the X-Men in their younger years in 1983.
Available on DisneyPlus.
5. X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)
This tape took place in 1992 and tells us about Jean Grey’s transformation into Phoenix. It was not well received at the time, but some consider it the most action-packed to date. Note that this is the last film produced by Fox.
Disney Plus.
6. X-Men (2000)
Here begins the meeting between Wolverine and the Mutant Academy, where all the heroes are set to adulthood, adding that the greatest rivals are already advanced in age. It started in the early 2000s.

7. X2: X-Men United (2003)
It is an almost direct continuation of the first X-Men, with anger expressed by certain mutants who cannot tolerate injustice and mistreatment by normal humans. Also, it has been established that Phoenix has returned to interact with the team again.
Available on DisneyPlus.
8. X-Men: The Final Battle (2006)
The full force of Phoenix is unleashed in this installment, with a clash that left fans baffled in their day, though it had a poor reception due to the continuity of the story. This is set as a conclusion to the Academy’s history, with Wolverine later finding his personal path.
Available on DisneyPlus.
