We’re just over two months away from the Galaxy S24 series, and it’s already looming large ahead.
Now we have no doubt, the new Galaxy S24 smartphones will be presented in the middle of January 2024. According to various sources in Asia, the date has now been confirmed by another well-known colleague whom we have already interviewed. Samsung has probably zeroed in on January 17, 2024, with the event taking place in the US.
The planned offering for new AI functions is perhaps not so clear yet. Samsung can put them behind the payment barrier, which Google does with various functions in its Photos app. This could be a solution to finance current AI investments directly through users.
In the long run, we shouldn’t be surprised if particularly good functions are only available with a subscription. It will definitely prevail. Ultimately, however, the question is how attractive the subscription is to the customer, based on its full scope in my opinion. Google is experimenting with cloud storage, better customer service, VPN services and photo functions.
