A few days ago, the first look of the Scott Pilgrim anime was released, bringing with it top-notch animation that fans have loved, or at least something that can be seen on various social networks. Most intriguingly, it mixes scenes from both the comic and the 2010 movie, which has fans wondering if it’s going to be a faithful adaptation to the books.
Through his official Instagram, Brian Leigh and Malley, the creator of the franchise, came to the statement after being asked dozens of times whether it would remain faithful to the original material. Given that, he responded to the perception of many, it is right that this is not a rehash of past books, but a product that only maintains the essence.
Here is the message:
I don’t know who should listen to this, but… it’s not a book. I have already written them and you can read them anytime The program is something new in many ways. Don’t expect a verbatim remake. A lot of fun surprises are coming.
Note that this anime premiered Netflix next 17 November.
Through: joke book
Editor’s note: It’s good that it’s taking a different path than what’s already been established, though fans will be disappointed because they wanted to see characters that didn’t appear in adaptations like the games and movies. We’ll have to see if it’s worth it in November.
