October is finally coming A Plague Story: Request On the new generation of consoles, leave out the PS4 and Xbox One this time. Many are wondering what is the reason for this decision. luckily, Asobo Studios, the developers, have finally provided an answer.
In a new interview with EDGE Magazine, the title’s director Kevin Choteau revealed what they plan to achieve in the visual department and gameplay. This was impossible during the last generation of consoles. He commented on it:
“In Innocence, certain parts may look like theater sets due to technical limitations. With Requiem we were able to push the horizon even further. All of these advances aim to serve the narrative, since when we write, greater forces allow us to propose sequences that were previously impossible.
Choteau is mainly referring to categories such as rat chases as well as dynamically developing locations. However, although there are no PS4 and Xbox One versions, Nintendo Switch users will be able to enjoy this game, but not locally, but through the cloud.
A Plague Story: Request It’s PS5, Xbox Series X | S will arrive on Nintendo Switch and PC on October 18, 2022. On a related note, A Plague Tale is getting its own TV series. Likewise, here you can see the gameplay of this new title.
Editor’s note:
It’s time to say goodbye to the last generation. More and more games will start being exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and that’s okay. Eliminating the limitations of previous generations gives developers more tools to improve the experience.
