Xiaomi showcases original Leica lenses on smartphones

Xiaomi and Leica could greatly expand their cooperation, at least as shown by a new concept from the Chinese smartphone maker. A video concept shows that the camera area of ​​the flagship smartphone could have a mount for the real camera lens.

The concept is not fundamentally new. Many years ago there were various attempts to attach real cameras to smartphones. But all ideas, for example the Galaxy camera from Samsung, then failed miserably. Will Xiaomi ever make the concept available to consumers?
